Motivation policy

Staff "turnover" is considered to be one of the hospitality industry features. Staff search and selection for hotel or restaurant has to be done almost constantly, but this problem can be also the result of incorrect motivation of employee. That is why employee begin to look for a more attractive job. Usually such problems entail high costs for constant training of new employees, an unstable service level, customer dissatisfaction and as a result a sales decreasing.

Sales decreasing in hotel or restaurant may happened not only because of employees’ constant change, but also because of low motivation of working staff. The staff could be not aimed at achieving goals and the as a work is perceived only as a process.

Such situations occur in cases when motivation does not pay attention. Only fragmentary measures do not create a common idea, affect only the material side and unfortunately do not find feedback from staff.

Only the material component of hotel or restaurant staff motivational policy on the contrary not always gives a feeling of satisfaction and a desire to develop at working place.

Consistency and a comprehensive approach to employee’s motivation can not only significantly reduce the "turnover" of staff, but also lead to a significant increase in incomes, which could be much higher than the costs of motivational programs.
